Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional support to our dental providers and patients. The Dental Assistant will play an important role in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care by assisting with clinical procedures, preparing treatment rooms and instruments, maintaining infection-control standards, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visitKey Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments before procedures.
- Assist the dentist during examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other procedures.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations and training.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection-control standards.
- Seat patients, review medical and dental histories, and take basic patient information.
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care and post-treatment procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment information.
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient check-in and check-out.
- Manage dental supplies and notify the office when inventory needs replenishing.
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable state dental regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment.
- Communicate professionally with patients, dentists, hygienists, and office staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Dental assisting education or certification preferred, depending on state requirements.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow infection-control procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental office.
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 /hour
